Language Project/Fall Break

Hey, I hope everyone is enjoying their fall break! I have conducted my language sample earlier  today. The kids enjoyed my company while I was collecting the sample. Unfortunately, because my iPhone only has a certain amount of memory capacity, I could only record 46 min. of it...I just hope it is enough for me to have 100 utterances for my project. I also hope that everyone is doing okay on their project.

I had the same problem with my IPhone, but it was exactly enough to get 100 utterances! I only got about 49 minutes! Good luck with your project!! :)

WOW! I got 100 utterances in about 13 minutes. Guess I had a talker!

It will depend on how many OTHER people are talking. If there are other kids or adults talking also you will record a lot longer because although the child will be interacting it just won't be as often. Therefore, you'll have to record longer to get the 100 utterances.

I finally have gotten my sampling.. I will need to get my utterances on paper.. I am still not confident I know what to do.. I think I am going to focus on pragmatics..
