Hello.

My name is Lisa Rhodus, I have lived in Madison county my whole life. I have dreamed of being a teacher most of my life. When I started elementary school I lived with my grandparents, & my aunt she had the mind of a 5 to 6 year old and I was never told anything but she had a very high fever when she was little and that caused it. I would go to school everyday and then come home and try to teach everything I learned that day to her. This went on until she passed when I was in middle school. After that I just tried to do my best in school and kept the mindset that I was going to be the first one in my family to go to college. While I was in high school I spent a lot of time in the special education room working with the children that has also impacted me a lot. I love being around the children and being there to help them learn. So these are the few reason I am going into the education field, I am a Elementary / Special Education double major. I would love to get to know some of the people around me that have the same passion as me.

What a touching story! It's amazing how the people in our life touch us so deeply!! I can't wait for this class to start sharing their knowledge and experiences with one another. You each have so much to offer one another.

Yes almost everyone that is going into this field of work has a family tie behind it that I have talked to.
