Never Back Down!

A few nights ago, my friends and I watched the movie, "Never Back Down" (I think that's what the movie was called...). Basically, it's about this school in Philedelphia and the school is falling apart. What I mean by falling apart is most of the teachers were not teaching the students like they should and the students were not learning "the basics". The mom (the main character) was trying to send her daughter, who had dyslexia, to a better school. None of the other schools would accept the daughter. The mom and one of the teachers proposed that the school board should build a better school with a better environment, teachers that WANT to teach, and for the students to be successful.

Absence

Hello guys,
I was not able to make it to class on Monday. Could someone tell me what we discussed in class. Also, are we still going to Lexington? Lastly, why is the test not on Blackboard?

Buddy Walk!!

This is a picture of my Aunt Pam and her son Joseph who participated in a Buddy Walk in Virginia this past weekend with their buddy, Noah. It is so important to support causes such as this. I am looking forward to participating in this next year with them. Below is a link that you can click on to find more out about Noah and donate to the cause. #TeamNoahsArk

Reading Response

I chose to do Thinking with Language, Images, and Strategies for my response. I actually learned a lot of new things and also saw a lot from things we have discussed in class. There were a lot of ways shown that could help a teacher help their students grow in expressing themselves through language.

Should this be an issue?

Many parents are upset over palm-scanning in a school district in MD.  A child's palm is scanned and that's how the lunch is paid for or recording of the meal.  Parents are really upset, but is it really a big deal?
